Hi,
the updated Amazon Web Service AMI (ami-4ac6653d) has a serious bug.
It is not possible to resize a disk after creating a new volume with a size
greater than 8GB.
resize2fs does nothing.
The previous AMI worked perfectly but is no longer available. This bug is a

Hi,
After updating openssl on most of my C6.5-servers needs-restarting reports at

But on 1 server needs-restarting reports nothing. And yes, sshd, ntpd and

All yum-utils are latest yum-utils-1.1.30-17.el6_5.noarch.

We had Amazon investigate further and support tells us that the problem is that

One of the services that has to be restarted after the openssl update is samba.
And now I wonder if I can safely restart samba when there are possible files

I can't find an answer on Google (could be me asking the wrong questions)
Thanks for any pointers

Johnny,
Yes. We've got some 6.5 boxes, so that's why we asked. The few 5.10/.11
boxes did get the updates, so that's why we were curious.
