I install centos 6.3-64bit in a new server and also installed KVM using yum.

Server: CPU: i7 3370, Memory: 16GB.
Virtual machine: 1 cpu and 1GB ram. type: i686

seeing if you can get more from -v and -d ALL or -d 0x7FFF
