I want to update the system because I haven't updated CentOS5.3 from the
time when I installed it. But I am also afraid of directly using "yum
update" command. I used "yum list updates" but theres a error displayed
which I have already posted.

I have my Linksys WUSB54GC USB wifi card already working.
Now I have another issue. Accidentally I tuned off my AP, and when switched it
on again my wireless link is still down. I have to unplug the USB card and plug
it again to get it working again.

No, I'm not running Network Manager. When I start it it just turn off my
link. I'm working in runlevel 3 over a telnet conection using the wireless
link.
When Network Manager starts it just turn off the wireless link and never
comes off again.
