Hello all,
Got myself the Linux Advanced Routing & Traffic control book
http://lartc.org/howto/
All the commands in the guide do not survive reboots.
Could someone point me in the right direction, where I can find
CentOS/Redhat specific documentation on the whole
/etc/sysconfig/network* setup?

The command is mpost not metapost.
I have /usr/bin/mpost in the tetex-3.0-33.8.el5_5.5 package
under Centos-5.5

Every few days I see in the logwatch on my Centos-5.5 web-server

That is what it is, and since it's so feeble, it's barely helpful to know
about it.

Good morning all, I ran an 'yum update' and have been receiving the
following errors:
Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
Determining fastest mirrors
Could not retrieve mirrorlist
http://mirrorlist.centos.org/?release=5&arch=x86_64&repo=addons error was
[Errno 4] IOError:
Could not retrieve mirrorlist
I don't quite understand why all this fuss about some DVD ISOs...
At least the Portuguese mirrors work very nicely...
Here's an example:

They just get 404s in return...

Hi All;
I have a GPL question - sorry if it's way off topic.
We're pushing on a system that collects a variety of data points and pulls
them into a single report. One of the modules we use is a 3rd party tool that
generates an html report which equates to one of the pages on the report
that's

When in doubt, talk to a lawyer.
Having said that:
It's my understanding that when you use GPL software only within

/usr/share/doc/initscripts-8.45.30/sysconfig.txt covers the syntax of
sysconfig files.
also browsing through /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifup* scripts will
give some good info (eg ifup-routes).
