Hi All,
Quick question, I just finished googling and found the thread that is

Hi all.
I try to install CentOS 4 x64 on HP Proliant ML G6. Anaconda doesn't
correctly recognise the DVD-RW drive despite the fact that the installation
starts from it. Also when I choose network (HTTP/FTP) installation type the

I installed CentOS 5.3 on Oct 27, 2009 and immediately updated it to 5.4.
I had not paid attention to this boot log until yesterday when I decided to
take a look to do some trouble shooting.

Hi,
Does anyone know where I can get centos-release-5-4.el5.centos.1.src.rpm?
I have looked on several mirrors and that one seems to be MIA. Even Google
does not seem to know where it is.
I need it so I can rebuild it with my local yum repos in it.

Hi all.
I currently have to add some drivers during the installation process for

Do CentOS 5.4 users still have to use the RedHat preliminary kernels
(http://people.redhat.com/jlayton/) for getting a NFSv4 safe kernel or
have the patches been incorporated into CentosPlus kernels?
Or is kernel-2.6.18-164.3.1.el5 somewhere in the queue?
Thanks in advance!

Why do you need CentOS 4?
Have tried a USB CD drive? Or connecting a different CD drive
temporarily for the install? Since you can boot okay, does v4 support
net install?

Yeah! I agree you !
If you get the newer kernel , you should reboot the computer ,then the OS
will read the file called /etc/grub.conf
