Dear Fellows:
I'm under a proxy server (squid) and I need to update my centos but every
time that I run yum -y update tells me that I can no find a file that
exists. The problems is that this machine that I'm trying to update has no
graphic shell, so I need to make all by console.

I was really curious about this, so I googled around a bit. I don't
know about the support in the environment variables, but from what I'm
reading, the "%40" encoding should definitely work if you use the
proxy variables in yum.conf, ie:

Hi,
I am having problem with setting up the proxy for yum correctly. I have
got no influence on proxy policy or authentication methods. The proxy
username contains the '@' character.
My question is if there is any way how to enter the username correctly
into the yum.conf. I tried many ways but
