I just wanted to add to this, that I have been building a case on OpenBSD
6.3 and I get a stop at the same spot.
I found that editing cde/lib/tt/lib/db/tt_old_db.C and removing the
contents between the { and } on _Tt_old_db() around line 51 can get you
past that particular error.
That being said,
On these new BSD tests are the Patches listed here:
https://sourceforge.net/p/cdesktopenv/tickets/70/ going to be built-in?
I saw a post on here from I believe around the 1st requesting they be
packed in, I'd like to help any way I can as a non-programmer - test
perhaps?
Thanks!

I just got this to build successfully on OpenBSD 6.3 after a fresh pull
from git, and nothing else aside from the symlinks to /usr/X11R6/include (I
already had a functioning CDE environment)
Thank you guys for your hard work!!!

Full build of Release 2.2.4 of CDE comp
I think that's either rpcbind isn't running, or maybe the /etc/hosts file
not having the hostname in there?
I just loaded up a raspbian lite image and loaded a barebones CDE build and
I definitely got that error, and am pretty sure it was one of the two that
was the issue.

Not sure if we can send pictures on here, but here’s my Raspberry Pi 3B+
running Raspbian lite, and the 2.2.4a dev release of CDE. The display is a 7”
USB Displaylink ELO touchscreen.
These things can definitely be fun!

There used to be a Distro someone made called "CDEbian" but a quick Google
search shows that it's no longer available.
I'm not aware of any OS that currently has CDE packaged and included, but
someone else on this list may be more informed than I.
I can definitely attest to the Raspberry Pi 3, as
