The latest version no longer builds on OpenBSD 6.8, I am running an older version right now from when I built it on 6.7, still.    Building Release 2.3.2b of CDE I hope you checked the configuration parameters in ./config/cf to see if you need to pass BOOTSTRAPCFLAGS. Fri Feb  5 18:26:30 EST 2
