Dear All -
We are well into the 2nd round of Warren's Fund now -and the
lucky Winner of the first round is:
Miles Pufall, a post-doc in the UCSF Yamamoto lab. Incidentally,
UCSF is where Warren did his graduate work with Jim Wells, and many
there had very strong ties to him.

Note that there is no easy way to buy multiple tickets without cycling
through payment. The raffle might get more entries if multiple
purchases were easier.

Dear Linda,
NSMB asked me and Jim Wells to write an obit for Warren.
With your permission we would like to include a
quote of your CCP4 posting (or a reference to it -
depending what NSMB decides to do). Warren's
words summarize so much how we call remember him.
I hope you are doing well.

Warren's passing is a great loss to the community, not just for what he

This is truly very very sad news. Although I never met Warren
personally, whenever we had any problems with PyMOL, he was always
available virtually immediately at the other end of e-mail and
answered all our questions.
I feel I really got to know Warren. He was just a terrific person and

I can not agree you more. I was totally shocked by this bad news and can

It is very sad to see one friend who is still very young away from you.
Could we rename the Pymol to remember Warren?
