The journal Biochemistry (and others no doubt) specifies that the two
images should be separated by 5.5 - 6.5 cm as measured between similar
points (e.g. the same atom in either image).

I have a full-text ready to check. The editor asked me to specify the
separation distance between the stereo pairs, because my article contains
stereo-isomer images.
I made the stereo images with PyMol, but I really do not know the
"separation distance" used in the publication.
