Dear All,
We have two openings for tenure-track beamline scientists in our group to
develop software and methods for crystallography beamlines at the upgraded
Swiss Light Source 2.0 synchrotron.
The positions offer a unique opportunity to explore novel methods such as
dynamic crystallography a
Dear Colleagues from the CCP4bb,
Paul Scherer Institute in Switzerland is hiring a postdoctoral fellow for a
project to develop a NextGen Detector Control Unit. The project is realized
together with DECTRIS, leading manufacturer of hybrid pixel X-ray detectors,
and supported by Innosuisse (Swis
Dear Colleagues,
At PSI we have an open position for a software scientist to work on a data
acquisition pipeline for the cutting-edge PSI pixel-array detectors, producing
20-100 GB/s of data, with a mix of high-end x86 servers and task-specific
hardware architectures (IBM POWER, FPGA, GPU).
We
Dear Ana,
To benefit from GPU architecture, over CPU, the algorithm needs to do quite
significant number crunching – i.e. do at least certain number of floating
point operations (FLOP) per one byte of data. It also needs to be highly
parallel, preferably without conditional (if/else) statements
Dear Aleix,
From what you say, it is also possible, that you see anomalous scattering of
native elements present in your complex - your DNA contains P atoms, there
might be also S in protein part and K+/Ca2+ in solvent. The signal is very weak
at 12667 keV, but could give high anomalous correla
