Hi,
A postdoctoral position is currently available in the Structural Chemistry
group, part of the Institute for Applied Cancer Science (IACS) within the
Therapeutics Discovery Division of MD Anderson Cancer Center. Our mission is to

Hi Guohui,
Instead of truncation, have you considered mutating some or all of the
cysteine residues in the N-terminus? When we did our HAV 3C study, we had
to change a surface Cys to serine (evidence of intermolecular disulfide
linkage); the resultant variant not only stayed monomeric for longer t
Dear Art,
I am the sysadmin, which is bad news since I am much better as a
crystallographer... and I was working on a different issue on the same
machine the past week.
Our institut has a good firewall so I believe we'll be fine, the
installation of Arp/warp was smooth after the modification of g
Dear Julie,
Thank you for your kindly reply.I do just pool the very central portion of the
SEC peak and use that for crystallisation but when SEC Again sill wide peak.
And I will try to use other methods like native PAGE to understand in more
detail the range of oligomerisation states my prote
Dear Bernhard,
Thank you for your reply. there is No His amino acid in N-ter 30 amino
acids, we have suspected Zinc Finger in this N-Ter,add ZnSO4 to Coordinate
during induced .Also add DTT/β-Me in Buffer During Q/S,SEC etc.All in
all,Appreciate your kindly advices!
Best Wishes
Dear Guohui,
Sometimes it can work if you just pool the very central portion of the SEC
peak and use that for crystallisation? The width of the SEC peak will also
depend on factors such as column volume, flow rate, load volume... You do
not specify these in your message.
Have you tried using other
Hi Abhik
Additional to Phils suggestions, you can use chimera to superpose and render
the images right away.
For this, load the pdb codes right into chimera (file -> fetch ID), then tools
-> structure comparison -> match maker
Change the Chain pairing to specific chains in ref and match struct
