Hi all
Any advice on how to get bigger crystals from conditions that give showers of
tiny crystals? I am getting small pretty looking individual crystals but they
are too small and they don't seem to grow. In fact, in some instances if left
for a couple of days they actually dissolve. I have fi
If either of the two protein structures has been determined/deposited, I would
check if your unit cell matched one of them.

Looks like 1 or 2 protein units per ASU. Two seems most likely, but I
have had a bunch of crystals with 67% solvent, too, so 1 is not out of
the question if less probable. So try both with your favorite MR method
and see what happens. Crystal packing in the MR solution will tell all.

Dear All,
I crystallized a complex of two proteins and got x-ray data. However I dont
know if I have got complex or just one of the protein has crystallized. Can I
check it by mathew's coefficient? If yes how? One of my protein is 30 kDa nad
other one is 12 kDa.

Hi again,
Following up on my mail earlier this morning, I installed CCP4 in a virtual
Windows XP machine on my Mac. When I run Phaser in Windows the QtRView output
is lacking the graphical section, as described for the course computers, but I
can open the log file generated in the Mac OS X vers
Hi Robbie,
I contacted Charles Ballard a few weeks ago on the very same issue and
he has efficiently rolled out a fix for it in the latest CCP4 update

That sounds more like a programming error: the issues I've identified are
purely numerical and won't affect the program flow.

I'd be interested to see if this solves the cases where ctruncate goes into an
infinite loop during the twinning tests.
Cheers,

Hi,
I need (reluctantly!) to install CCP4 on 20 fairly ancient Windows XP machines
for a course. I have installed CCP4 on a central server with network-mounted
drive and applied all the updates. CCP4 is then runnable on the individual
computers. However when I run a Phaser job the output in QtR
