We had a chipping sparrow downtown on April 7. I ebirded it, for those who
monitor first arrivals.

We have Insectishield clothes and religiously use insect repellent, and do
tick checks. Any tick found can/should be sent to the Upstate Medical lab
for free testing for tick borne disease.

The osprey pair at the nest platform north of Truman Marina in the center
of the field at Hog Hole were seen mating yesterday. The female on the
roost pole and the male flying in above her.
Two additional osprey were flying and vocalizing over the boat area.

We were at Montezuma yesterday at 3 pm and there were about 125 cranes at
the visitor center. Also saw 3 eagles in close viewing. About 25,000
various water fowl.
