With the exception of a few RIng-billed Gulls spotted away from the lake,
all the gulls reported in Area VII were coming in to roost at the Treman
marina in the evening. I headed home at about 3:30pm, just ran out of steam.
Surely 8 or 9 is the full total of cormorants.

Thanks for compiling the CBC for another year – pretty amazing tally given the
brutal weather!
There are some obvious adjustments to the waterbirds at the south end of Cayuga
Lake – sorry we weren’t able to coordinate that more in the field this year.

I just emailed Paul that I had Snow Goose in Lansing on 30 Dec (900!!) in a
corn stubble field at 34B and Armstrong Rd. I really hoped that they were
spending the nights off Portland Point and that my group would get them in the
early morning of the count, but they didn't show up.
