Looks like the "modprobe" condition does not fully work in containers,
as it'll try loading the module from within the container, but the
modules will be installed/loaded on the host.
Maybe we should rather check /proc/modules instead.

@xypron, this bug wasnt going to be SRUd by itself, it's a side effect
of the new shim release being SRUd.
What you need to test is an arm64 vm with a version of ovmf that has the
memory attr protocol available and see if it boots or crashes.

Kubuntu install with encryption instructions don't match Calamares
insta
Running ubuntu-20.04.5-live-server-arm64.iso with QEMU
1:8.2.2+ds-0ubuntu1 and upstream edk2-stable202405 leads to a crash
(Synchronous Exception at 0x9C4745DC) when jumping into the
kernel.
I used this command
qemu-system-aarch64 -M virt -accel tcg -m 2048 -cpu cortex-a72
-nographic -dri
shim-signed_1.51.4+15.8-0ubuntu1_arm64.deb also allows booting with
upstream EDK II.

While shim-signed 1.40.3+15+1533136590.3beb971-0ubuntu1 shows a crash

The patch got in as e3786b29c54cdae3490b07180a54e2461f42144c ("9p: Fix DIO read
through netfs") in v6.11-rc4
It has a fixes tag so Greg should pick it up for stable within ~2 weeks
Unfortunately it's causing other problems for cifs so not sure how that'll end,
so I'm not sure Canonical will move
