For me favicon changes take a while to update. If you have checked source
then you should be good, you can check in another browser to see what
happens when freshly viewing in a new browser.
There are also a favicon generators out there so you can make your own
google 'gen favicon'

Ohh, interesting. So the issue is likely that my browser has it
cached? I was planning on creating a new one to replace it
eventually, but that seemed like a klunky workaround as no icon should
be required to start out with.
And just to confirm, I checked on another computer and indeed the Cake
Hi all, I'm trying to get a basic site going here with some static
pages.. and I'm having a strange problem with the icon that appears
next to the title (I think it's called the shortcut icon?) I have
started a completely fresh layout, css fille and view for my home page
and the Cake icon persist
