Did you clear tmp folder? Did you turn on debug? What exact error do
you see?

its not working. I took the entire cake_1_2 folder and copied under
/home/user/cake_1_2 and linked this directory to
opt/lampp/httpdoc/cake_1_2. The first index page shows up fine, it
