Allen, most all AC units now use ECM motors for the fans (condenser & evap) most of these produce some type of RF. The older PSC motors did not. I'd double check the ground and make sure it's good... Have you found the resonant spot at UHF? Where the SWR is lowest? If it's below 440, you might be able to cut it but I would try not to do that except as a last resort...Most dual band antennas are already pre tuned...Chris WB5ITT Sent via m

Terry are you using the CAA-500 Comet analyzer? If so, then are you using the N connector to test 70cm? The manual states that the UHF (SO-239) connector is for everything 300MHz and below, and the N connector is for 300 to 500 MHz. As it is, its like there is no antenna connected to the N conn
