The hudson build of lucene java is stuck since a few days. We cancelled the
build two days ago, but Hudson stopped somehow during publishing the results.
What can we do, we found no hanging process?

The Hadoop PMC would like Philip Zeyliger to be given a Hudson account
so that he may support the Avro sub-project there. Philip is a
relatively new committer, and is hence not yet on the Hadoop PMC, but he
is experienced with Hudson.
Philip's Apache username is philz.
Thanks,
Doug
Hi,
I killed the running Cactus job, which had been running for 8 hours.
Looking at past builds it should have finished in less than 20 minutes.
I'm wondering if Hudson is in some kind of trouble, as there are many
jobs that have been running for 3 - 8 hours. Further, there is no
console outpu

Hi,
I was about to take care of some of the pending Hudson account
requests, when I realized that I still don't have a Unix account on
vesta.apache.org. Can someone please create the account (username
jukka) and grant me the sudo rights of an admin?

Hi Jukka,
Thanks! Now it seems that the next job (nutch) does nothing, the log only
contains one line but nothing is running. Somehow the whole Hudson JVM seems to
behave strange. Maybe we have filesystem full or something like that? I think
we should restart the build processor.

Weh ad already build running with an average load of 16, so 20 is a little bit
higher (lol), but it should not stop completely.
Maybe I should open an issue, that somebody looks after the whole machine with
all its zones.

Hi,
I spotted a few build jobs that were polling the svn server more
frequently than the recommended once per hour. I updated the polling
configurations to @hourly for each of them:
Derby-branch-10.5
Derby-trunk
Pig-trunk-commit
subversion-1.6.x-solaris
subversion-trunk-solari

It looks like we also have a few Hadoop builds that are mysteriously stuck.
I'll restart the entire Hudson

Hudson is now restarted (and upgraded to latest version).
I started a lucene-trunk build and at least for now it runs with no

Hi Jukka,
it seems to work -- many, many thanks!
Only: I cannot see anything in the HTML console log (only the rotating star).
But the plain text log works.

The HTML log works for me.

Hi,
Strange, I cannot see anything with any browser I use. It shows that some
kilobytes of text were left out (but all text is left out). When I click on
"show all" I only see the rotating star nothing more. And this happened only
after the restart.

That would be nice.

There appears to be no activity currently on Continuum.
Submitting a build appears to work, but nothing happens.
Seems to have been broken for a few days now.

Thank you, Jukka.
Recommendation noted!

These are getting rather tiresome. Could you please allocate sufficient
heap to the build process so it can complete.

The version of JTidy on Gump seems to be quite old, i.e. jtidy-04aug2000r7-dev
The current JTidy release is jtidy-r938.jar (2009-12-01), available at:
http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/jtidy/JTidy/r938/jtidy-r938.jar
Would it be possible to update the packaged JTidy to the current release

Well, Gump would prefer to build JTidy itself but this has failed for
years now - I see that Gump is using a stale CVS repository instead of
svn, I'll see whether we can use that.
