deleted from Jenkins years ago.They aren’t available from
the front end at all.Is it possible that more of the directories on the
list don’t have jobs associated with them anymore and could just be wiped out?

Why should that page be generated by buildbot? Couldn't that one index.html
just be a static page checked into SVN someplace and served directly?
