with cleanup. If you suspect the disk is
infected, it is. Don't ever "clean" Windows disks, rebuild them.
But rsyncing many TB has worked for me in the past.

do is compile wget yourself. It's a pretty tiny
program.
Your kludge of symbolic linking works, except it's like relighting
a dud firecracker: you don't know if its going to go off, or not as
you are handling it.
