Whether the preceding description is accurate or not, I believe "remaining"
should modify a noun somewhere, but that noun is missing from the current
text.

I want to make multi-volume archives. But then then the following
errormessages appear with long filenames:
"file name too long to be stored in a GNU multivolume header, truncated"
