Please cut a new release for modern C fixes

Hi folks, Would it be possible for a new release to be cut please? The last release is aging and various problems are fixed in git right now, including an incompatibility (which was fixed in gnulib) with newer, stricter C compilers (https://lists.gnu.org/archive/html/bug-wget/2021-01/msg00069.ht

I'd like to get a new Autoconf release out first, so that we can use it to generate a new Tar release. Of course it shouldn't wait forever.
