this :)) when recovery partitions--in particular, IBM's--need exact
geometry offsets and the hd firmware reports this wrong, propagating the
"wrong" geome

This is a supplementary post to my original one, to which Leslie Polzer

My goal from the outset has been to delete partition 3 (a shared FAT32
partition) on a hard drive and then expand partition 2 (my ext3 root
partition) to fill the new empty space.
I have a live cd of suse 9.2.
I've just taken ownership of the GNU parted package in Fedora Core (as
well as Red Hat Enterprise Linux). The previous package maintainer
(Chris Lumens <[EMAIL PROTECTED]>) had commit access to the parted
repository. I will be continuing parted work from Red Hat and would
like commit access to th
