First of all, sorry for my bad english.
I'm a student of computer engineering of Barcelona.
I've been working with zeos project (it consists on make a simple
operative system).
Makefile archive runs on version 3.80 but not in 3.1 beta4 version.
I think that is a possible bug.

You should try the released version of GNU make 3.81. It was released
over a year ago so there is no reason to be using a beta
