Hi,
these "compressing over-full page" warnings may be caused
by running a lilypond executable, which was compiled with
the old pango library (1.43), with the new pango lib (1.44).
What is your pango version?

Good news: The newest Pango version (1.44.5) works again with
LilyPond; the problems have been fixed (on the Pango
I don't know if this has been reported, but I just updated pango on Arch, and
the version 1:1.44.5-1 is working fine now !
