What I think: it's a cool feature and it sure would be awesome to have
it; unfortunately we have very few developers who could work on it,
and they're all very busy dealing with more urgent bugs. I hope that
someday we'll have more resources

I'd like to suggest a feature that in my opinion should be added to
LilyPond's MIDI support: panning (i.e. whether a voice should sound more
from one speaker than the other; for example one voice could be set to sound
only from left speaker, second voice only from right speaker and a third one
