No problem, just go to http://lilypond.org/web/install/ and follow the
instructions. If you need any help in German, the lilypondforum.de is
here to help you.
Cheers,

I hope you have read the last lines of the error message.
It's much easier to provide relevant help if you include
a small example file that you tried.

Ok, now I can see - it is only in 10.0-2, and not in 10.0-1.
So the question goes to the developers: could the python scripts be
named .ly in the windows distribution?
Let's keep the discussion on bug-lilypond.

Could you try again with lilypond 2.10.0 ? This new stable release has
many new features and may have already fixed this bug.

I have an install of lillypond 2.8.1 on Windows XP. All my .ly files process
fine with lilypond.
When I try to use lilypond-book, it always gets the same error, regardless of
the input. As an example, I put the template from Charpter 3 in a file called
ly.lyex and ran:
lilypond-book --psfonts
