James, I'm sorry I didn't explain myself accurately.
To verify:
1) Open the file from comment #1 in LilyPad.
2) It should look like
\version "2.12.1

Maybe I'm misunderstanding, but I don't see the problem. I have version
2.11.49
downloaded, I type into it:

I think this is fixed. For verification, try opening the attached file
with the GUI.
