But IE6 renders as attached.
Minor annoyance compared to this issue, but annoying anyway.

nobody has access to IE7 ? it would be nice if they could load the new
website in ie7 and make sure it doesn't look disgusting.

Hmm, last time I checked, IE7 didn't *need* any special CSS overrides for
the new website.
I'm looking into it...

This might be due to the setting of Compatibility View in IE.
Activating this in IE8 causes the same incorrect display to appear.
