Hi,
I went through (I thought) the installation steps but cannot find a .app file.
I have a file called LilyPond
33.5 mb. But it opens to a blank .pdf style sheet only.
Have I not downloaded everything necessary?

Please always use the lilypond-user mailing list for usage questions
like this one.
The answer is very simple, just input the characters as usual in your
text editor
and make sure that the editor saves the file using a character encoding
called
UTF8.
