Hello,
I'm new to LilyPond, but I've noticed that the binary I have installed on
Windows Vista is extremely slow. I've poked around on the bug report archive
trying to find a solution to my problem, and none has presented itself. When I
call LilyPond slow, I mean that it takes a good 1-3 minutes
I looked in the two notation handbooks I have in my
book shelf:
- Essential Dictionary if Music Notation (Alfred Publishing),
- "Noter" by B. Tyboni (in Swedish, but fairly authoritative
as far as I can judge)
and both of them use "decresc." as the abbreviation for
decrescendo (even though both
I would be surprised if there is an abbreviation standard enough to
state that others are wrong, or even substandard. I don't see any
solution except for picking one and making it as easy as possible to
change it if desired.
