you need to have a font installed that includes the tie symbol, eg.

Hi Everyone,
The new feature of Lyric tie in 2.9.23 doesn't seem to work.
The below example produces the following errors and in the output the lyrics
"tied" together get reversed ( second first ) as the lyrics below show.
