When I was writing a piece I got some unexpected results when I changed
'r' into 'R'. Lilypond does not do what I wanted it to do: place a
fermata over the last rest, even when I singled each rest for a
measure.

I've noticed that version 2.7.30 won't output midi files in the windows
version. All the stable versions seem to do it properly now, though (including
the non-cygwin windows version of 2.6.5). Plus, it opens lilypad and gives the
dialog in the picture I've attached

Hi, I am using Lilypond 2.7.27 for Windows 98. I've found something peculiar
about the horizontal placement of multi measure rests in the presence or
absence of time signatures. Here is an example:
