It seems that when a midi block is present, a paper block must also be
present.
So include a paper block:
\score {
\midi {...}
\paper {}
}

Dear Han-Wen and Jan,
I'm getting this wierd problem in Lilypond(Windows).
The PDF and PS files are not created but the MIDI file
comes out fine.
The .log file says:
lilypond (GNU LilyPond) 2.0.1

it wont run the Test.ly
file
I can't get anything from running
cygwin either?! Cygwin is running, I enter the suggest bug report code and get
the error message
"...\Desktop\test.ly is not a valid Win32 application"
I have tried entering the
sh -x
/usr/bin/bug-lilypond-cygwin
