There's a DOS windows that open. It change of name several times. Acrobat
reader open. There is the error message. The DOS windows stop réacting with
the name "sh".
There is no "test.pdf", just a "test.log".
The last line in the DOS windows is :
"command:'/cygdri

The essay http://lilypond.org/web/about/automated-engraving/
is very good, and I want to print it out to show some
musical friends who are not (yet) computerised. However, I
find it an awful struggle to print. I've tried Mozill
Various Linux systems using recent versions of the GNU
coreutils package now require strict POSIX syntax for the
head and tail commands. They let you use 'head -n 1' but
not the more traditional 'head -1'. Attached is a patch to
address this issue for lilypond-2.0 (tested with both 2.0.0
and 2.0.
This may be expected behavior and I'm just misunderstanding what's
happening, but it seems inconsistent.
The attached file demonstrates polyphony on two staves. The top staff
uses the << {} \\ {} >> construct, and the measure rest following the
polyphony is ok. The lower staff uses the \new Voice
