I ran into an assertion failure in lilypond 2.0.0. My understanding is
that assertions are never supposed to fail, so I take it this could be a
serious bug.
This is the error message I get:
> lilypond-bin: bezier.cc:77: Real Bezier::get_other_coordinate(Axis, double)
> const: Assertion `fabs (c[
Not sure if this is a bug. I quickly viewed the
subject lines of the last two months. With the tag
stuff commented out, it produces the desired result.
There is an extra line, clef, and time signature as
is. A "solution" is easy. Just put the tagged stuff
after the first measure. Sorry if this

Please ignore prior bug report. I think I've found it.
I have registry set to open .bat files in an editor rather than execute
them -- I edit them more often than run them so that makes sense for
me. But, it seems to be the root of the problem. I changed that and I now
have output.

Jan.
You do not need to specify anything, add a \midi {} block to
input/twinkle-pop.ly:
$ strings tw
Oh, i didn't notice another error, that lilypond crashes when i put a
\midi {} line, so i can't get midi output. The error is this:
Interpreting music...warning: can't find or create `StaffContainer' called
