branch directly because there is a very large changeset in the NetBSD
upstream update commit.
The main thing is upgrading rump from 9.99.

You can probably find an upgrade path by upgrading first libc0.3 to
version 2.31-13+hurd.1 which you can get from

I've got to partial upgrade holding libc0.3 package. But, after upgrade and
unhold the package, the error continues, avoiding upgrade some other
packages, like hurd

Which version of libc0.3 do you have? There was an issue at some point,
installing the latest version by hand should fix the issue.

Well, debug why -7 stalls on most apt-get operations. Any information
there is probably valueable. Also, building the -7 source package with
different versions of the toolchain (glibc, gcc, binutils
r a VM, so even if it gets into problems on an upgrade
to -7, I can use the backup image.
