I investigated the problem, which caused ftpfs to fail with some ftp
servers (e.g. ftp.debian.org). The problem is that libftpconn
sometimes tries to 'list' _directories_ and not _entries in a
directory_. But obviously that isn't supported by all ftp servers,

When you su, you do not get a login shell, so the typical place where
"*/sbin" is added to your path doesn't get executed.
Consider using "su -" instead, or move the PATH statements to the
right file for your shell (It changes from shel to shell)

I´m able to reboot and halt logged in as root. But after logging in as
normal user and changing to root with "su" these command are not found:
