as of commit 0ad84b5297860975e72ef9a27e2c3218c3628b33 in gnulib, we
get build errors in our continous integration setup of octave. We get
the following error:
../libgnu/wctype.h:583:14: error: operator '||' has no right operand
../libgnu/wctype.h:656:6: error: #if with no expression
