Follow-up Comment #4, bug #16325 (project coreutils): Unfortunately, msdn.microsoft.com is the most help you're going to get in that department (unless Microsoft is kind enough to fork over their source code, which I doubt). To hazard a guess, however, it looks like they might scan /dev/fs/[A-Z]

[bug #15043] ls assigns colors inconsistently
