I've looked a bit more at this segfault and it seems to happen in case of
-static linking.
Here is the command executed:
gcc -fno-builtin-strlen -finline-limit=0 -fomit-frame-pointer -ffunction-sections -fdata-sections -fno-guess-branch-probability -funsigned-char -static-libgcc -falign-function
