Collection of files showing the problem
$ make
$ gdb out
(gdb) break main
(gdb) run
(gdb) print scaled_live
Trying to print the values of global variables in shared libraries doesn't work
properly when the shared library has been linked using gold. Instead of printing
the correct value some arbitrary value is printed. When using regular 'ld' the
problem does not occur.

Yes, I know. The problem should go away once we deploy a GCC version that uses
gold as linker and recompile the problematic library.
