Hi all,
I am the primary maintainer of brltty on gentoo, and we have a patch
that I would like to submit for consideration.
In configure.ac, api_socket_path is set so that when the directory is
created it is /var/lib/lib/brltty. We change this to /var/lib/brltty in
the first part of the patch.

Hi again All,
gentoo is starting to migrate to libusb-1.0 using the libusb-compat
wrapper.
The README for libusb-compat says that it will work with most
applications, but there are some things that were done with the older
libusb which will not work

All,
this bug has been around for a while on gentoo, but I don't think it was
passed upstream [1].
The attached patch is how we are fixing this for Linux. Let me know your
thoughts on the patch.
Thanks,
William
