I saw that brltty also supports espeak as a tts engine.
How do i start that with my boot prompt parameters?
currently i use the following:
brltty=ht,,de
Or is it not possible to use speech directly from the boot prompt?
can i also change the language of the espeak tts synth?

Just tried to use braille with my sonar mate installation.
seems with a braille display you might not have much luck on the desktop.
brltty recognizes my display showing the message "screen not in text
mode". even with braille activated in orca.
anyone has experience with orca and braille

it was.
i did a
$ sudo chmod 777 /etc/brlapi.key
and now my handy tech braille star 40 seems to be happy.
