Hi,
I have ubuntu 7.04 on my desktop and a alva delphi (it is on /dev/ttyS1).
On /etc/init-d, there is a shell script, brltty, to start brltty on system
startup, I think.
I configured /etc/brltty.conf to start on ttyS1 and with al braille display
code, but I think brltty doesn't start (I have to

What does this message mean?
Is there any way to start up brltty automatically earlier or later in the
system to avoid this error or to inspect what is happening?
Thanks

know whether I need to make some changes related to usb ports.
I'll try to write "no" on /etc/default/brltty and use the
update-rc.d brltty defaults, but since I see, it's a very strange error..
Thanks again for your patience

Hi,
I have ubuntu 7.10 and speech-dispatcher 0.6.6 installed in /usr.
I looked for ./configure output of brltty 3.9 and it says that package
speech-dispatcher cannot be found.
What are the requirements in order for brltty to recognize
speech-dispatcher?
Thanks

Hi,
It seems Dave is certain, lol.
We have to write to speech-dispatcher's list.
If you do the same experience with orca on gnome-terminal, you will see that
espeak module crashes too. You discovered a espeak's module bug!

I have a alva delphi 40 cells braille display for 7 years.
Due to its usage, some dots don't go totally to up position.
I would like to disassemble it to clean it, but I don't have experience on this

Has anyone already done this? If positive, what care should I take?

Hi,
Is there any reason for this? The brltty documentation on the web page is
always one version behind the recent version of brltty. When brltty 4.1
appeared, the doc version on web page was from 4.0, now is from 4.1.
Thanks.
