Hi again,
My 2nd problem: I built all my environment (beyond basic software) in
/usr/local,
including Python2.7 and brltty. To install orca, orca needs (to support braille)
to find brlapi. I --enable-python-bindings, however, python bindings don't
seem to install. When I do import brlapi, it does
Hi,
I'm doing some experiences and testing some new installations to learn and
do tests. Building brltty, I have 2 problems I would like to be helped.
Here's the 1st.
I do: ./configure --enable-i18n --enable-icu and make. But no brltty.mo is
generated and installed. So my brltty stays in English.
I add logs:

Hi,
I'm using latest dev code, without minor problems. Only I think the
cut-and-paste
feasnve for clio Eurobraille drivers doesn't behaves as expected. Indeed,
it doesn't reproduce the end-of-line and, for example, when you cut 3 lines,
they are pasted on a single line. It has benefits, but it's

Hi,
Does the translation need to be up-to-dated? So far, while I could install
on my computer the dev release on Monday, today autogen says:

So I can't generate .po files (or search for the proper command to pass in

Hi,
Here's a patch to update fr.po file. Moreover, there's a part of the manual.
I send the remaining of the manual in some hours. The fact BRLTTY.sgml was
split complicates my basic analysis of differences between stable and future
release. I search the best solution.

sgml skills are limited. Can you
do this for me? Or should I find some help to do then send a new patch?

Hi,
See the end of the French update. Now the French release of brltty (fr.po and
the whole user manual) are up-to-date. I'm glad that's done for the 4.5 release.

Absolutely. It's correct. Thanks :)

Hi,
When I build brltty from source, with ./configure && make && make install, the
.mo files are not generated nor installed. Is that expected? Should it be
fixed in Makefile? I think that they should be generated at least; if any
reason explains they're not installed.

Hi,
I make brltty start automatically at boot time. But when starting, BRLTTY speaks
in English and not in French. However, if I restart brltty once logged in, it
speaks in French. It means that brltty can use brltty.mo at the proper time,
but not at boot time.
How can I fix this? How can I make
