Dave:
I've been thinking about a way to trap the byte stream on Windows. Not sure how
to do this yet, but I think it is a good possible solution. Or, if I could find
the TSI protocol somewhere, I could just poke around with the display until it
does something.

I haven't used the display much, but the dots seem less pointy/more rounded
than some others I have seen. It is very readable though, with reasonably good
dot firmness. The display only has six buttons in addition to the cursor
routing keys.

Hi,
till now I couldn't resolve the problem regarding the silent key echo
after upgrading my system.
I've created a debug file, which I attach; hope it is allowed.
I performed repeated typing of characters, and I hope that this action

Hello,

brltty uses the undocumented third parametr of AS_HELP_STRING

a string of spaced of the required length.
Unfortunately, Autoconf version 2.62 does no
Hi folks,
I spent much time today messing around with Ubuntu and may have found out a
few things.
When I installed my native Ubuntu at home I have a sightling (not a computer
person) reading the screen. She didn't notice any menu about accessibility
(it may well have been there) so I didn't do

Well, I guess all of this should be reported to ubuntu mailing lists and
bugzilla, because there's nothing we can do from brltty itself...

Ok, thanks Lee.
the braille display bouncing around is what my braillelite is doing, but
what would be causing multiple instances of brltty?
Since I used f5 and then 3 in the install, I would think I used screen
reader rather than braille terminal; also I had a full copy of the
brltty.conf.

I cant find 'brl=ask' in my /boot/grub/menu.lst. Where was it located in
