Hey guys, Happy New Year to you both. Here's to a great year for Back in
Time.
I see that Dan was ironing out the notification icon bugs in KDE, is that
the last stopper before the final beta?
I have started work on a config file restore option, but I'm not going to
push that for version 1.

Hi guys,
When I did my testing of ionice on my netbook I ran BiT for the first time
and BiT asked me if I wanted to update my snapshot location. I don't think
it should ask this question if BiT was never run on the system before, that
is if there are no snapshots to update.

Hey guys,
I implemented ionice for most of the file operations that BiT does. I tested
it slightly on my netbook and it seems to work ok. BiT will still be in the
Best Effort I/O scheduling class but it will be the lowest priority in that
class.
I also did a change to save the config file with ea

Perhaps "Refresh view" is better because "Refresh snapshots" can still mean
to perform a new snapshot.

Hi guys, I apologize for my absence, my computer is still down, and with it
the work I was doing on the combo box to select the hour of backup for the
daily and greater backups.
As for moving the battery checkbox to the Options tab, I just did that and
uploaded the revision. I can't test it since
iles is a different story: everything is clear.

Hi guys,
I agree, I think BiT is getting really close for a 1.0 release. I would like
to finish my work on the Hour of Backup choice though to make it into 1.0. I
haven't had a chance to finish it yet because of work and then my computer
died. I should be back up on my feet by this week.

Cancel this request. I just realized it does not make sense since the
system I test on us a 9.04 system so there is no KDE update.
I'll check this out more tomorrow after work.

I only added some items, I didn't change any that were there. The schedule
you choose comes up in both the Gnome & KDE settings gui for you?

Hey guys, I'm updating the KDE GUI to have the hour of backup option that I
implemented in Gnome (finally!). However, I'm running into a problem, can
you guys do a quick check?
If I set up a config file in the gnome GUI and set a schedule, i.e. not
"Disabled", and then load the KDE GUI I'm not get
backintime uses cron so you can always edit your crontab to customise
the scheduling.
There is a bug in the current release called "Overzealous removal of
crontab entries" which will knock out your custom cron lines, but a
fix for that is coming in the next release.

I upgraded to Karmic this weekend and get a pleasant surprise with BiT.
My backups are actually scheduled as root backing up /etc and multiple

add include files for me, but no schedule. This allows BiT to backup all the

Hey guys,
I pushed the code for the backup hour option to this branch:
https://code.launchpad.net/~rmjb/backintime/backuphour
It's not complete, but you can choose the hour for backups in gnome once you
don't choose the schedule per include folder option.

Hey guys, I just submitted a revision that looks like it changed all the
lines in gnome/settingsdialog.py. All it does is change the indentation from
spaces to tabs. I noticed that the few other files I'm working with at this
time use tabs instead of spaces and the spaces in settingsdialog.py has
